Prometheus : The Untold story of Man

Last 2 weeks I had the pleasure of sinking myself into one of the most beguiling ,
thought provokingand mind moving experience that was Prometheus.

A background check:
In the western classic tradition  Prometheus became a figure who represented human striving,
particularly the quest for scientific knowledge, and the risk of overreaching or unintended
consequences. In particular, he was regarded in the Romantic period as embodying the
lone genius whose efforts to improve human existence could also result in tragedy.

this I believe was the core of this tale scripted by Ridley Scott .one of my favourite
all time Movie Directorsfamed with hits like  Alien , Blade Runner , Thelma&  Louis
and many more.

Above are snippets of the  Venture ship that brought mankind into
that barren land  Our fore fathers landed and there created a Super
                      species that wiped themselves out

One of my Favourite scenes at the beginning ... theres an almost
Humankind and God-like existence at all the same time here

Scenes that remind us of Tombs of Kings that had fallen ..as with
ancient cities......Angkor and temples of Abu Simbel in Eqypt.

Angkor Thom

Mankind Meets His Maker ....but in man's desperate search for Eternal life
he forgets that he is Man after-all  .In Religions , in Myth  , and In Sci Fi
everyone has his place

With Ancient testament , and Biblical and religious undertones the Serpent
plays an important role in Man';s failure , here seen as the Child that
                         will destroy Humankind.

Falling Free

Free Falling

Was it a metal that  i tot was Gold...your days
are meant to fly away and they do...and what
you give is what i love but when you raise the
sail ..im falling free ....so when i let loose the
need to know and understand the need to go
Im falling free....Deep and Pure are hearts
of mind ..guess we re both free ..free to go...

A lot of people think that if you are meant to be great at something,
everything should just fall into place—it should be easy. When a job,
a relationship, or a skill doesn’t come easy to us, we get discouraged.
At the first sign of an obstacle, some of us move on to something else
and find ourselves constantly hopping from one situation to the next,
while others give up altogether and settle for just making ends meet,
thinking, “Maybe I’m not meant to be ….”
Every time a person makes a commitment,
 three things happen to them.
First, the person rounded up the courage to commit, that’s the easiest part.

Second, the person begin to experience resistance. The difficulty of a
keeping the commitment begin.

Third, is where the rubber meets the road, the individual have to make a choice .

reaching the third road is the one that makes the difference ....

You can make it..or you can break it!

MDNA -tripping back to the clubs with Madonna

MDNA - THE QUEEN OF POP LATEST OFFERING to the pagan rites of music,  pop magic  and idolation is a trippin trip  in itself .Highly confessional and biographical over the last years of her marriage , career and tribulations this album boast strong references to her life this time around. not a cookie cutter album as the last Hard Candy.

As the Mother of reinvention and morphing into personas that mix the magic of music, religion and sexuality over subjects of taboo that stir and envelopes our imagination, she has remained relevant over her nearly 30 years span of music when other Pop stars drop like flies.

Yes, Madonna’s in a rapturous state of mind in 2012, and in more ways than one: A bulk of her latest album, an incredible, varied collection of pounding club cuts, bloody revenge odes and swinging, psychedelic ’60′s-tinged anthems, seems to be tripping out on acid–or, more accurately, ecstasy. After all, the euphoria-inducing club drug (MDMA, formally speaking) is largely responsible for the cheeky, initial-inspired album title, MDNA.

This time around with MDNA , an offering that  she is here to reclaim her Throne as the Queen Of Pop. below are the Hottest tracks remixed frm MDNA -from various sources

Like her classic 1989 release, MDNA is a post-divorce record. Unlike Like A Prayer, which was released only a few months after her divorce from Sean Penn, MDNA comes almost four years after the fact. Since then, new love has already sprung.

As a result, there’s contrasting moods at play: MDNA is an incredible, explosively defiant record–full of both euphoric club cuts and swoon-filled swinging ’60′s pop anthems, yes–but also unexpectedly raw, introspective balladry, all of which showcasing far more vulnerability than one might have concluded from the album’s two lead singles.

MDNA won’t help to reassert Madonna’s position on the throne as the Queen because of forward-thinking production or a particularly relentless promotional campaign. Instead, it serves as a reminder of what Madonna has always represented (and what most other modern pop stars fail to truly grasp): Fun.

There’s the religious aspect–a signature characteristic in the Madonna catalog. This time however, it’s back to Sunday School: Gone is Ester, Kabbalah-centric songstress present in the earthier cuts of Ray of Light and the Hebrew-soaked mysticism of tracks like Confessions‘ “Isaac.” No, Madonna Ciccone has us returning “Like A Prayer” territory on MDNA, down on our knees and grasping at our rosaries for forgiveness.

Forget the bible: Everything one ever needed to know about Catholicism can be found in MDNA.

MADONNA: WAL STREET JOURNAL INTERVIEW

Madonna
Madonna is in heavy promotion mode.

Madonna has been seen everywhere promoting her film W.E. Madonna has premiere the movie in the UK and New York City. Madonna has been on the Nortan Graham show, Anderson Cooper and much more.

Well Madonna has an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Madonna talks about her movie her new album and much more. Here is what Madonna had to say:

You have a movie coming out, a fragrance, a new album and a tour—and now the Super Bowl. Was this a master plan?
Madonna: No, everything kind of converged in a bottleneck. I was always planning on making a record when I finished my film but I ended up finishing my film much later than I had expected so, because I had already scheduled time with all the producers and writers for my record, I had to multitask and work on my record at the same time I was finishing my film. And then somehow it worked out that the record was being finished right around the time the movie was coming out. Then I got talked into doing the Super Bowl.
That sounds like a lot of obligations.
I want to do everything really well. I kept saying to my manager, “I don’t want to do the Super Bowl unless I can really give it my all, and really focus all my attention on it.” And he said, “Don’t worry! There won’t be any problems. You’ll be able to concentrate just on the Super Bowl.” Now of course my movie is coming out during the Super Bowl so it’s a little bit nerve-racking.
How’s the rehearsing going?
It’s not an easy show to do because you have such a short period of time to set the stage up. And you’re performing in the round so you can’t direct anything that walks off anybody’s sight line. You have eight minutes to put your stage together, 12 minutes to do the show and seven minutes to take it down.
What did you find so fascinating about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor?
What intrigued me about their story was how polarized people felt about her and him, and the abdication [of King Edward VIII], and that period of history and what they were: Did they love each other? Were they Nazis? Was he gay? Was she vicious and a social climber? They were a very controversial couple. I am very interested in that period of history, prewar England, and in deconstructing the cult of celebrity, which is another layer of the film, the way we peg and sort of diminish a lot of people who we don’t understand and who we are afraid of.
What convinced you that they were not Nazi sympathizers?
Research. And not being able to find any empirical evidence whatsoever that they were. People came to me and said they were, and I said, “OK, show me. Prove it to me. What is the evidence? That [Edward] had a meeting with Hitler in 1936? Give me the reason.” It would always go back to “This is what I heard.”
Did you identify with Wallis Simpson on a personal level, in the way she was judged all the time?
Yes, to a certain extent. I think that she didn’t have the ability to defend herself the way I do now, or we do now. It was a different time. The media was different, and women didn’t have the choices that they do now. Even so, there were moments, there were lines in her letters that I thought, “I could have written that.”
Anything in particular that resonated?
Just the experience of being treated unfairly in the press, not having a nice word said about you. There was a time where I actually read what people wrote about me, and that’s a slippery slide to get on. So, if you do that, and you’re doing something controversial or unpopular, then you’re just going to be reading a bunch of stuff that isn’t nice about you. I certainly know that feeling of devastation, like “Oh, my God, the whole world’s turned against me.”
So, you really don’t read any press about yourself?
No. I haven’t even read any reviews of my film yet, and I don’t want to.
When did you decide to ignore all that?
When I adopted my son from Africa and I was accused of kidnapping him. I was so devastated by what people wrote about me, that people basically accused me of doing something criminal. That was my turning point.
