Fashion Forward - MFW (Men's fashion Week @ SG)

 

          This year End march 2011 was an 

           interesting twist to my weeklies of things to do ,

             with the task at work of turning around 

            about 6-8 new stores over the course of 

           2-3 weeks , i had a good break in between

              to look at a fashion event that supposedly 

                was Singapore's premier Fashion Labels.

                ...paraded down the catwalks .........  

on my part the night started trying to

       figure the dress code..lol ..not being one too 

     over fussed about what to wear..I a Jeans / 

  Tees /Berms sorta guy ...i had amassed 

        quite a good collection of jackets and blazers

     and shirts thru brands that i work with 

    such Massimo Dutti , Zara , Ted baker 

    but hardly wear them ..decided to take 

      turquoise as my color of the nite.well.

  with every Tom ,Dick and 

      Harry wearing black ....nowadays 

          Mens Fashion Week Singapore Edition

          , the cul de sac .......of events that is to 

           put this tiny dot of 5 million on the fashion map

         to the likes of Paris , New York and Milan

       thru these tough times were also set up

An enduring STAR Fizzles onto the night -LIZ taylor

I first notice her when i was a kid watching "Cleopatra"

The violet eyes framed (because of a miraculous mutation) with double lashes;
 the bone-china skin and purplish-black hair; the dangerous curves, 
the “dark, unyielding largesse.....

She had the sublime arrogance of a queen, and the hard pragmatism of

Elizabeth Taylor’s life is too big beyond daily comprehension and gorgeous too to apprehend. So we must have faith that she used her time here very well, and that the lifelong star, whose “first memory is of pain,” is, at long last, whole and secure in the firmament – her altar.

 (a local noodle and curry dish),

   a place where time stood still....

      The Locally famous 328 

and other laksa stores 

in katong ..more memories of food -

Brightly light street food from 

 Ampang famous   

...to various eateries

   Of course  the back alleys 

    and also significant cos

      its here as if time has 

      stayed the same

  '

The Old and coming

now under reconstruction 

Memories   the famous Red Bakery house 

 - a true Local landmark there

    but  lately the area  has transformed 

   into a major residential hub

 developement has changed much of singapore 

I do hope some memories are 

to be passed to the young someday

I just watched the movie “The time traveler’s wife, this is a romantic drama about the life narrative of a time traveler who falls in love with a woman named Claire.

 Once upon a time he came backwards to meet his future wife … and he managed to meet his future wife from her  age of 7 years … .. and from the beginning of the first meeting, the regular time traveler meets and protects his future wife. Until finally at some point they were married after she met him in a library . the Journey of their life ...are  always colored with  happiness, sadness and though sometimes the wife would  be in the knowing since the living husband traveled in  and out and with him arriving news about their future – this has got to guide the family in the future and thru their lives  Adjustments to their life was not easy as he appears and dissappears .

Intrigue becomes  ore apparent when she finally conceived and gives birth to a baby girl . ...who is also a time traveller.She brings the heavy news that one day her father passes on when she reaches 5 years of age .

This film tells, about how we make our spouses feel loved and loved not just love and affection, in any condition but in thru all passages of life . Because by making our partner feel loved and cherished,all  heavy and complicated trials that we go on  as any family life,is bearable and makes it smoother , everything will be passed on with ease and happiness. 

Cherish our loved ones for any moment of time long and short.
