Last 2 weeks I had the pleasure of sinking myself into one of the most beguiling ,
thought provokingand mind moving experience that was Prometheus.
A background check:
In the western classic tradition Prometheus became a figure who represented human striving,
particularly the quest for scientific knowledge, and the risk of overreaching or unintended
consequences. In particular, he was regarded in the Romantic period as embodying the
lone genius whose efforts to improve human existence could also result in tragedy.
this I believe was the core of this tale scripted by Ridley Scott .one of my favourite
all time Movie Directorsfamed with hits like Alien , Blade Runner , Thelma& Louis
and many more.
Above are snippets of the Venture ship that brought mankind into
that barren land Our fore fathers landed and there created a Super
species that wiped themselves out
One of my Favourite scenes at the beginning ... theres an almost
Humankind and God-like existence at all the same time here
Scenes that remind us of Tombs of Kings that had fallen ..as with
ancient cities......Angkor and temples of Abu Simbel in Eqypt.
With Ancient testament , and Biblical and religious undertones the Serpent
plays an important role in Man';s failure , here seen as the Child that
will destroy Humankind.
